- Stir occasionally until sugar is dissolved
- Once boiling, boil for 10 min stirring occasionally
- Remove from heat, discard orange peel and cinnamon stick
- Recut pieces
- Pour hot syrup evenly over top of Baklava, allowing it to run into cuts and around edges of pan
- Allow to sit uncovered until completely cooled
- Cover and store at room temperature for atleast 8 hours before serving
- Store covered at room temperature for up to 5 faus
